Post-dated Voucher एक ऐसा accounting voucher होता है जो भविष्य की किसी तारीख (future date) को दर्शाने के लिए बनाया जाता है। जब हम कोई लेनदेन (transaction) अभी करना चाहते हैं लेकिन उसका प्रभाव (impact) future में किसी तारीख को दिखाना चाहते हैं, तब हम Post-dated Voucher का उपयोग करते हैं। यह सुविधा accounting software जैसे Tally में उपलब्ध होती है और इसका उद्देश्य यह होता है कि हम भविष्य की payments या receipts को पहले से record कर सकें, लेकिन उनका प्रभाव हमारे current accounts और reports में न दिखे जब तक वह तारीख न आए।
- जैसे मान लीजिए किसी supplier को ₹10,000 का cheque दिया जो अगले महीने की तारीख का है। इसको हम Post-dated Payment Voucher के रूप में record कर सकते हैं।
- यह सुविधा हमें real-time और future transaction दोनों को manage करने में help करती है।
- इसका उपयोग business में बहुत common है जैसे – EMI payments, advance cheques, future receipts, salary payments आदि के लिए।
How to record future payments and receipts using Post-dated Vouchers in Hindi
अगर आप Tally या किसी अन्य accounting software में Post-dated Voucher बनाना चाहते हैं, तो उसके लिए आपको कुछ steps follow करने होंगे।
Step by Step Process (Tally example के अनुसार)
- सबसे पहले Tally में Gateway of Tally पर जाएं।
- Accounting Vouchers में जाएं।
- Payment या Receipt Voucher चुनें, जो भी transaction आप future के लिए करना चाहते हैं।
- अब voucher बनाते समय तारीख (date) को future की तारीख में change करें।
- Voucher बनाएं जैसे normal transaction बनाते हैं, लेकिन उस future date के साथ।
- Save करते समय Tally आपसे पूछेगा – क्या इसे Post-dated बनाना है? – "Yes" करें।
इस तरह जो भी Voucher आपने future date के लिए बनाया है, वो अभी आपकी Current books या reports में नहीं दिखेगा लेकिन जैसे ही वो तारीख system date के अनुसार आएगी, वो अपने आप active हो जाएगा और सभी balances और reports में जुड़ जाएगा।
Use Case Example
- मान लीजिए 1 जुलाई को आपने एक cheque दिया जिसका date 10 जुलाई है।
- आपने Tally में 10 जुलाई की तारीख में एक Payment Voucher बनाया और उसे Post-dated बना दिया।
- 1 से 9 जुलाई तक वो transaction आपकी Balance Sheet और Outstanding में show नहीं होगा।
- 10 जुलाई को वो अपने आप active होकर आपके Cash/Bank balance को effect करेगा।
How Post-dated Vouchers affect reports and balances in Hindi
Post-dated Vouchers का सबसे बड़ा benefit यह है कि ये भविष्य के transactions को समय से पहले manage करने की सुविधा देता है, लेकिन उसका impact तब तक नहीं दिखाता जब तक उस voucher की तारीख नहीं आती। इससे आपके current balances और reports clean और accurate बने रहते हैं।
Impact in Reports
- Balance Sheet: Post-dated Vouchers का कोई effect तब तक Balance Sheet पर नहीं पड़ता जब तक वो active न हो जाए (i.e. date न आ जाए)।
- Cash/Bank Book: Cash Flow या Bank Ledger में भी ये transactions नहीं दिखाई देते जब तक effective date नहीं आती।
- Outstanding Reports: Creditors और Debtors reports में भी इनका कोई impact नहीं होता जब तक voucher activate नहीं होता।
Tally या अन्य software में आप चाहें तो एक विकल्प select कर सकते हैं जिससे आप Post-dated Vouchers को view कर सकें लेकिन actual reports में शामिल न हों।

Enabling and managing Post-dated Vouchers in accounting software in Hindi
अगर आप Tally में Post-dated Voucher की सुविधा को enable और manage करना चाहते हैं तो नीचे दिए गए steps को follow करें:
Enable करने की प्रक्रिया
- Gateway of Tally पर जाएं।
- F11 (Features) दबाएं।
- Accounting Features को चुनें।
- “Use Post-dated Vouchers” को “Yes” करें।
- अब आप future की तारीख में कोई भी voucher बनाकर उसे Post-dated बना सकते हैं।
Manage और View कैसे करें?
- Display → Daybook में जाकर आप सभी vouchers को देख सकते हैं।
- F4 से Voucher type select करें और F2 से date range दें।
- Post-dated vouchers को filter करने के लिए Post-dated filter का इस्तेमाल करें।
- Gateway of Tally → Display → Exception Reports → Post-dated Vouchers में जाकर सिर्फ उन्हीं vouchers को देख सकते हैं जो future dated हैं।
Post-dated Vouchers को Active या Modify कैसे करें?
- Voucher modify करने के लिए उसे Alter Mode में खोलें।
- Post-dated status को हटाने के लिए उसे current या past date में बदल दें।
- Voucher delete भी किया जा सकता है अगर जरूरत न हो।
कुछ विशेष बातें
- Post-dated Voucher केवल future की तारीख में ही बनाया जा सकता है।
- यह accounting में एक बहुत useful feature है जब recurring या scheduled payments होते हैं।
- इससे audit और planning में मदद मिलती है क्योंकि आप future liabilities और inflows को track कर सकते हैं।
